National Folk Festival 2007
The National Folk Festival is held in Canberra, Australia every April. Canberra is the capital city of Australia, located about 4 hours west of Sydney. The National Folk Festival is Australia's biggest folk festival, in 2007 my band "The Lawnmowers" played there.
There is plenty to see at the festival. As well as the main concerts, there are many performers who entertained the crowds as they walked past.

The Lawnmowers played three concerts at the Festival. We were lucky, many people came to our shows! This photo shows us on a stage called "The Marquee".

Many musicians sit together and play at the festival. Sometimes large groups gather together, sometimes just two people. The duo in the picture below were exceptionally good.

The festival had a special room, where instrument makers showed their instruments. This photo shows John Liddy, from Adelaide, Australia. John makes very fine guitars and mandolins.

Our last concert was on a stage called "The Troubador". Below is a video from that concert, with us playing a tune called Blackberry Blossom.
